We started this trail from the pine hollow parking lot on the Alpine loop. We went up 047 and worked are way over to come down 178 and 179. The forest service ask that on this trail you only go down so you do not tear up the logs by mutual dale camp ground where you come out. This trail is good for a moderate rider but has some gnarly, loose, steep switchbacks towards the bottom. You can pick up a map at the mouth of the canyon. There is a fee to get in the canyon but well worth it. You can also pick up a map at the ranger station in Pleasant grove for $10.00 that covers all the trails in Utah County. Please watch for horses, hikers, and mtn. bikers.

We started this trail from the parking lot on the Alpine loop. The first half mile you are riding right on the edge of a cliff down to the alpine loop. I don’t recommend looking down just look at the trail and go. It has a couple switchbacks but the trail is a short trip up to the AF trail system if you don’t like the crowds in tibble fork. You can pick up a map at the mouth of the canyon. There is a fee to get in the canyon but well worth it. You can also pick up a map at the ranger station in Pleasant grove for $10.00 that covers all the trails in Utah County. Please watch for horses, hikers, and mtn. bikers.

We started on the Alpine Summit trail head 252 then road 157 up and came down 040 to tibble fork parking lot. Pole Line Pass trail pretty much touches most the trail systems up AF. You can take it north all the way to snowbird or south takes you accross towards Mt Timpanogos. The trail to the North is more loose rocks and has a cliff section, to the south is more moderate with rocky sections but can easily be handled by a beginner. This video only shows the 157 section. You can pick up a map at the mouth of the canyon. There is a fee to get in the canyon but well worth it. You can also pick up a map at the ranger station in Pleasant grove for $10.00 that covers all the trails in Utah County. Please watch for horses, hikers, and mtn. bikers.

We started this trail from the tibble fork parking lot. We headed up 040 until we hit the trail head of 157 heading up to pole line pass. It has a few technical spots but and anyone with intermediate skills should be able to ride this. As you can see in the video it is a little harder when wet it gets really slick. I recommend walking across the section at 6:10 a few have gone off the ledge and had to take a 2 hour detour through the trees below to forest lake. You can pick up a map at the mouth of the canyon. There is a fee to get in the canyon but well worth it. You can also pick up a map at the ranger station in Pleasant grove for $10.00 that covers all the trails in Utah County. Please watch for horses, hikers, and mtn. bikers.

This trail is one of the funnest single tracks I have done in AF Canyon. It is a pretty smooth ride that even your kids could probably do if you start up on the Alpine loop. We started in tibble fork parking lot and went up 040 then 157 until we hit the bottom of 252 which ends up on the Alpine loop road. You can pick up a map at the mouth of the canyon. There is a fee to get in the canyon but well worth it. You can also pick up a map at the ranger station in Pleasant grove for $10.00 that covers all the trails in Utah County. Please watch for horses, hikers, and mtn. bikers.

We started this trail from 040 and hit trail 172 until it split into 039. It starts out through quakies and is pretty tame until you get to the peak. Once you get to the peak you start the steep decend to the bottom. Once you start down there is no turning back. This trail is pretty technical with a loose rock, cliffs, and a tough tree root crossing. You are litteraly on the edge for about an hour. You can pick up a map at the mouth of the canyon. There is a fee to get in the canyon but well worth it. You can also pick up a map at the ranger station in Pleasant grove for $10.00 that covers all the trails in Utah County. In this video we are going down 039 from 040.

This trail can be accessed from the tibble fork parking lot. This trail starts out with a few water crossing’s then heads up through the trees with many switch backs until you reach the peak. From here you have access to many of the other trails this canyon has to offer. You can pick up a map at the mouth of the canyon. There is a fee to get in the canyon but well worth it. You can also pick up a map at the ranger station in Pleasant grove for $10.00 that covers all the trails in Utah County. Please watch for horses, hikers, and mtn. bikers. In this video we are going down 040.
