DBF Review: Little Moab is great place to take the family or friends if you want to try your skills in the sand, single track, washes, rocks it has it all. It is not a very big area but a great place for kids to get out and ride off road motorcycle trails and it is fairly close to Utah County. It has some great trails to practice for desert races like the ones at cherry creek. Take Santauin exit 244 and head west about 10 miles then turn right in Elberta 12800 W st. Drive until you see mile marker 7 then hang a left. 2 miles up the rode you can park and ride in the sand and single track trails. Follow the rode a few miles up and you will find dozens of trails and the little moab section off to the right. |

DBF Review: We spent the weekend on west beach and decided to try out some of the OHV trails. Most of the trails were easy but there was some terrain that had sand, loose gravel and you can get into some rocky areas but for the most part if you stay on the easy trails the kids can ride with you and enjoy the surrounding views. After a hot ride we went and jumped in the lake to cool down. you can pick up a free map at either end of the lake at the pay booth. There is a lot of private property, please stay out of these areas. you can get to yuba by traveling down I-15 south of Nephi exit 202 (Yuba Lake Exit)go south on Yuba Dam road 2 miles until you hit North beach Trailhead. Continue 2 miles down the road to reach Oasis and yuba Dam Trailheads. |
Diamond Fork Utah Chase Creek Single Track Trail 0

Length: N/A
Time: 2 hours
DBF Review:
We started this trail from the dirt road up diamond fork. From the parking lot on my google map head up the road north about half a mile past the hobble creek turn off. This trail has some discrepancy’s, it is not marked on a map as a single track trail. The trail head where we start says no motorcycles but the trail head at the end says you can have motorcycles. The forest service did not know how to answer the question when ask if it was ok to ride. The trail starts out with 2 river crossing that in the spring can be a couple feet deep and have been know to wash some bikes over. it is rocky and has some technical spots. We do not recommend this trail for a beginner and do recommend you contact the forest service before riding it.
AF Canyon Utah Single Track 252 0
July 27th, 2010
Difficulty: Intermediate
Length: N/A Time: N/A |
DBF Review: This trail is one of the funnest single tracks I have done in AF Canyon. It is a pretty smooth ride that even your kids could probably do if you start up on the Alpine loop. We started in tibble fork parking lot and went up 040 then 157 until we hit the bottom of 252 which ends up on the Alpine loop road. You can pick up a map at the mouth of the canyon. There is a fee to get in the canyon but well worth it. You can also pick up a map at the ranger station in Pleasant grove for $10.00 that covers all the trails in Utah County. Please watch for horses, hikers, and mtn. bikers. |
AF Canyon Utah Single Track 039 0
July 25th, 2010
Difficulty: Moderate to Difficult
Length: N/A Time: 2 hours |
DBF Review: We started this trail from 040 and hit trail 172 until it split into 039. It starts out through quakies and is pretty tame until you get to the peak. Once you get to the peak you start the steep decend to the bottom. Once you start down there is no turning back. This trail is pretty technical with a loose rock, cliffs, and a tough tree root crossing. You are litteraly on the edge for about an hour. You can pick up a map at the mouth of the canyon. There is a fee to get in the canyon but well worth it. You can also pick up a map at the ranger station in Pleasant grove for $10.00 that covers all the trails in Utah County. In this video we are going down 039 from 040. |

DBF Review: This trail can be accessed from the tibble fork parking lot. This trail starts out with a few water crossing’s then heads up through the trees with many switch backs until you reach the peak. From here you have access to many of the other trails this canyon has to offer. You can pick up a map at the mouth of the canyon. There is a fee to get in the canyon but well worth it. You can also pick up a map at the ranger station in Pleasant grove for $10.00 that covers all the trails in Utah County. Please watch for horses, hikers, and mtn. bikers. Diamond Fork Utah Monks Hollow ATV Trail 125 0
July 14th, 2010
Length: N/A
Time: 2 Hours
DBF Review:
We started this trail from the diamond fork side. The trail is pretty easy and is a good trail to take kids on. It goes up over the mountain and ends at highway 6. Once you get to the top and start heading down the trail starts to get a little rocky. This is a good place to turn around if you have a beginner with you. Towards highway 6 it gets a little more difficult and has more rocky sections. To get here from Spanish Fork head up canyon highway 6 about 5 miles past the windmills. Turn left at the diamond fork turn off and head up the canyon 7.5 miles. Turn right into group parking and you will see the trail head.
